Delete Your Account

You can delete your Aeronautical Apex account and its associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it: from inside the app, or by request if you no longer have the app installed. Both delete the same data.

This page explains how to request deletion of the account you created with Aeronautical Apex LLC and the data associated with it. For full detail on what we collect and retain, see our Privacy Policy.

Option 1: Delete in the app

This is the fastest way and removes your data immediately.

Open Aeronautical Apex and sign in.
Go to your Profile.
Tap Delete My Account.
In the confirmation dialog, type DELETE to confirm.

Your account and data are deleted right away and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.

Option 2: Request deletion without the app

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us at support@aeronauticalapex.com and ask us to delete your account. Please send the request from, or include, the email address you used to sign up so we can locate your account. We may ask you to verify that you own the account before we proceed, to protect you from someone else requesting deletion of your data. We will delete your account and data and confirm by reply.

What is deleted

Deleting your account cascades across our database, so the account, pilot, and flight data linked to it is removed from our active systems, including:

Your profile, flight plans, logbook, aircraft, checklists, saved plans, saved flight tracks, ATC transcripts, custom airports, and notes;
Your sign-in credentials, which ends your ability to log in.

Your posts, comments, and messages in shared community features are anonymized (disassociated from your identity).

What is retained

For legal, audit, and fraud-prevention purposes, we keep a limited deletion record that does not identify you directly:

A one-way hash of your email address (not your email itself);
Your subscription tier at the time of deletion;
Your approximate account-creation date and the deletion timestamp;
The IP address and user agent recorded at deletion.

Records of your acceptance of our legal terms, and the deletion record above, may be retained on a long-term basis to meet legal and audit obligations. This matches Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions are separate. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel it there; if you subscribed on the web, cancel through the Stripe customer portal (Settings, then Subscription). See our Terms of Service, Section 6.
