1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Aeronautical Apex LLC ("Aeronautical Apex", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit aeronauticalapex.com, join our waitlist, or use our software products. We are an aviation software company building a modern electronic flight bag for general aviation pilots, and we treat your data, especially your logbook and flight history, with the seriousness pilots expect.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you join our launch waitlist we collect your email address. When you create an account in the app (at launch), we collect the account information you provide such as your name, email, pilot certificate level, and home base. When you use the app, we collect the flight data you create or upload: flight plans, weight & balance worksheets, aircraft profiles, logbook entries, checklists, and related preferences.

ATC audio stays on your device. Our offline ATC transcription processes audio locally on your device. Raw audio is not uploaded to our servers as part of the transcription feature.

Automatic information. When you visit our website or use our app we automatically collect standard technical information: IP address, browser or device type, operating system, referring page, and timestamps. We use this to operate, secure, and improve the service.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to: (a) operate, maintain, and improve our website and app; (b) email waitlist members about launch and product news they signed up for; (c) provide subscription billing and account management at launch; (d) respond to support requests; (e) detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues; and (f) comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your flight data to train third-party AI models.

4. How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the service, and only to the extent necessary. These include:

Supabase: database and authentication infrastructure.
Resend: transactional and product email delivery.
Stripe: subscription billing at launch.
Vercel: website hosting and analytics.

We may also disclose information to comply with applicable law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Aeronautical Apex, our users, or others. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Your rights and choices

You can request to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@aeronauticalapex.com.

Logbook portability. Pilot logbook data is yours. You may export your full flight history at any time, including after cancellation, in standard formats compatible with FAR 61.51 record-keeping requirements.

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and the CCPA respectively, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

6. Data security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest where supported by our providers. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to apply industry-standard practices.

7. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses minimal cookies, only what's required to operate the site. We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not use cookies and does not track users across sites. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party advertising networks.

8. Children's privacy

Aeronautical Apex is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@aeronauticalapex.com and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and, where appropriate, we will provide a more prominent notice (such as an email).
